From 1 October 2022, the SIA will introduce new top-up training units for CPO’s who apply to renew their SIA license.  In addition, the existing training which covers the theoretical and practical aspects of working as a CPO has also been refreshed.  The top-up training will take 3 days to complete and consist of the following units:

  • Bespoke Physical Intervention skills
  • Knowledge of door supervisor responsibilities (including protecting vulnerable people)
  • Legislation, threat and risk management
  • Principles of Terror Threat

Applicants should note that they must hold a Level 3 First Aid qualification with a minimum of 12 months of their qualification remaining, before they can undertake the top-up training.  Blue Mountain Group will be offering the new SIA top-up training moving forward.  If you require top-up modules for license renewal post 1 October 2022, please contact us for more details.
